It was a tremendous winning debut for three-year-old gelding, Kracking, on Thursday (29th June) as he secured his first success in a 7f handicap at Leicester. Following three previous starts on the all-weather, this marked his first occasion not only in a handicap but on the turf, so we were thrilled to make this performance a triumphant one.
Ridden under the steer of John Fahy, in the silks of Andrew Cohen, he seemed outpaced and was the backmarker of the race until heading into the final furlong, where we saw him travel exceptionally well moving up from last to first place. This showcased a stylish sprint finish, that left him with a length and three quarters to spare. A very notable run from this horse, and really pleasing to see him make up ground so outstandingly in closing stages. We look forward to him holding more promise from this and stepping him up to a mile.
