It was a great result at Haydock on Saturday (23rd September) as the Beechdown team celebrated a winning debut from the promising two-year-old colt, Kerdos. The well-bred Profitable offspring made his appearance to the track later in the season than some, but with his education furthering all the time at home we were very pleased to see him handle himself so professionally on the day, making his debut outing an impressive winning one. Ridden under the steer of John Fahy over the six furlongs, Kerdos broke well to settle in a midfield position before being pushed to make headway with 2f from home. Fighting out the finish with his fellow contender, Mutaany, Kerdos sustained the challenge and kept on strongly to lead over the line by half a length. A very fine first effort for this horse and we look forward to seeing stronger performances from him with future entries.
