A Winning Debut for Symbology

It was wonderful to see our two-year-old winning streak continue as Symbology was next to fly the flag for the Beechdown team, with her very impressive debut performance at York.

Entered in the Fillies’ Novice Stakes over six furlongs on Friday (14th July), this occasion marked her very first trip to the track. Breaking smartly away, Rossa Ryan did a nice job of settling her on the outside where she sat behind front runners, before picking up to race alongside them and compete in closing stages. Unsurprisingly, she did show some signs of greenness, but her speedy bloodline outweighed her inexperience on the day, leaving her to overcome the field with a beautiful showcase of sprinting potential in a head-to-head finish.

We were delighted to secure this very early win with her, and it’s exciting to have a back-to-back 2yo success from another Havana Grey offspring. She is a talented filly, and this was a terrific result for her owner, Isa Salman Al Khalifa. We greatly look forward to watching her racing capabilities unfold.
