Cracking Gold followed his Kempton debut success with another step forwards carrying a 6lb penalty to win at Lingfield on Monday. Deciding to make the running this time, from his good draw, he showed he is still learning on the job, but is clearly extremely exciting with lots of potential to look forwards to.
His 5.5 length winning margin was very eyecatching and we are delighted we have another high class performer for Paul and Clare Rooney, who are no strangers to the winners enclosure with many top class results. Having won his first two starts, we will see next week how the handicapper views this achievement and make a formal plan from there. We have a good feel for the upcoming season and hope we can keep the momentum rolling from here.
