Following a classy win from this filly after her maiden success last time out at Lingfield, we were delighted to see Crimson Angel finish with her head in front comfortably once again on Wednesday (7th March) on the all-weather at Southwell.
This race marked a step up in class for the three-year-old with her debut class 4 novice entry, and it was great to see her handle the competitive pressure seamlessly and outrank a more experienced field whilst defying an added weight penalty this time around. Breaking well away she found herself sitting in third tracking early leaders nicely before two from home, where the race unfolded with a line of five runners battling for the finish. Smartly quickening the pace when asked, the filly once again showcased the sprinting ability her bloodline promises and dominated the lead with a 1 ¾ lengths clear over the line.
Once again, it was really pleasing to see this talented homebred, owned by Oak Lodge Racing, claim another winning victory making this her second win from two starts. Her performances so far this year are showing considerable signs of growth in strength and pace, along with a competitive attitude, so we have high hopes for her this season with some exciting turf opportunities in mind.
