Dragon Leader Lands Success Once Again

Following Dragon Leader’s exceptionally promising debut at Salisbury in June, where the two-year-old won first time out with over a length in hand, we were delighted to see him secure another winning triumph on his return to the same course on Thursday (10th August).

Racing the same course and distance - over six furlongs - we were pleased to see the education gained from his first outing nicely translated into this performance. Breaking well and quickly away, he was positively ridden into a front runner position where he sustained a capable lead until two from home. Like any two-year-old in early career stages, he presented some greenness which caused him to wander but this was quickly overcome when pressure applied through a demanding challenge from his opponent, as he battled on in a head-to-head photo finish over the line.

It was very rewarding to see him come alive so competitively and travel strongly throughout this race; matched with a determined ride from his jockey, John Fahy. We have some exciting entries lined up for this horse and we look forward to seeing what promise this holds. Another great juvenile win for the team and his owning syndicate, Kennet Valley Syndicate Thoroughbreds III.
