It’s been a positive season with two-year-old performances this year, so it was great to see this continue as Finbar Furey secured his first win in the Division 1 Novice Stakes over 7f at Salisbury on Thursday (5th October).
With a couple of outings already under his belt since August, we have been delighted with how this juvenile has quickly taken to racing after finishing in the frame from his last two trips. He is a very promising colt, whose form is improving all the time, and it was great to see him striding out with purpose as he boldly took the lead. A very confident ride was given by John Fahy, which impressively left them 2¾ lengths clear of the field. He is an exciting prospect and we are delighted to have achieved this result early on for his owners, Marie and Paul McCarten.
