It was another triumph for a Harry Angel offspring on Wednesday evening (1st March), as Just Bring It brought it home in front in the 1m Handicap at Kempton.
Showing much improved form with a successful reappearance, this marked the three-year-old’s first start since his last run in October and his debut win for owning connections, Atlantic Equine. Following early front runners with Rossa Ryan on board, the gelding settled nicely and showed steady pace before moving up to challenge leaders with two from home. The closing stages saw an exciting finish as he was nudged to take on his opponent, Choisya, where the pair then drew five lengths clear. Battling on, Just Bring It fended off his competition in style by sustaining a narrow lead and crossed the line with ¾ length clear. We were really pleased to see him handle himself with much strength and control over this performance, and following his winter break we are delighted to present a firm contender for this year’s season. We look forward to more progress with his next outing.
Also putting in a notable performance that same evening was Mohi, who finished second with a commendable run in the 4yo 7f Handicap. After running a handful of times on the all-weather track over the winter and always one to break well, he is a horse that likes to take an early hold, but we were pleased to see this gained him an early front running position with strong pace, before closing stages showed him press the leader and smartly challenge his opposition in a busy finish. Beaten by only half a length, we were really pleased to see him run so well, this being his first try over 7f it opens up a lot more opportunities to build his confidence back to winning ways for his owner, Sheikh Sultan of Al Mohamediya Racing.
