Returning to Kempton on Wednesday (8th May), Midnight Drive hailed a back-to-back victory on the all-weather for her owner, Isa Salman Al Khalifa, in the Fillies Handicap. Since stepping her up to a mile three weeks ago, where she won her handicap debut over the same course and distance, we are really pleased with how she has commanded racing over the longer distance and has set about this performance in fantastic style.
Breaking smartly, John Fahy was quick to position her well sat just off early leaders in fourth, before the turn from home where the pair quickened beautifully. Similarly to her last outing we watched her challenge late, but with John back in the saddle he knew he had plenty of horse left underneath him and did an excellent job of keeping her going towards the line, winning easily with a length and three quarters in hand. She is shaping up to be an impressive filly and we look forward to her next entry in due course.
