It was a very exciting day on Saturday (27th August) as we watched Tis Marvellous bring home his second victory in the Listed William Hill Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes. The eight-year-old gelding was undefeated in this race last year under the hands of Paul Hannagan, so it was thrilling to see this same partnership claim another win in this year’s race.
Breaking well on the good ground, Tis Marvellous settled nicely behind front runners before finding a prominent position in third. The final two-furlongs saw him battle gamely on as he moved up to challenge competitor, Arecibo. He put his head down to gain the lead and establish a 1¼ lengths success where he stayed on well over the line. It was great to see him return to this track which he clearly loves and running his best to achieve this back-to-back success. We are very pleased for this jubilant result for his owning connections, Stephen Barrow and Julie Deadman.
